BOOKWORM AND BOOKCROSSING B&B

Like a bookstore cafe, meeting point and place to read and exchange cultural experiences, the charming Portalba Relais, bed and breakfast in downtown Naples, has selected a poetic atmosphere for its B&B.

The choice was obvious given Imma Arena's desire to share her love of books with her guests between Piazza Dante (overlooked by the Relais' rooms) and Via Port'Alba (that leads to the bed and breakfast), where there are 10 of Naples' historic book stores.

The Portalba Relais lobby houses a large and beautiful library with a section dedicated to Naples' traditional publishers, to the city's art, music and history where guests can browse the books while sipping na tazzulella 'e cafè (a cup of coffee) or glass of local wine offered by the B&B snack bar.

Another section of the library is dedicated to bookcrossing: guests can "catch" books released by former guests or release their own for the bookcrossing community. Thanks to the book's unique identification number, the book's movement can be tracked throughout the world with bookcrossing so you always know where your books are. You can track your book's travels on the internet.
